  My family and I had a bad experience here. We were attacked verbally from a man smoking a cigar out in front on the steps..He thought he was very important, maybe the new owner or hired help? Anyway we left went up the hill to the East and spent a few hundred on dinner and drinks. Been to Crown king several times since...but never at the Crown King Saloon!

  This is one of my favorite places in Arizona. The saloon is very rustic and authentic, in a historic building that doesn't seem to have changed much since it was built. There's live music on the weekends and usually a weekday karaoke night. The food is basic American burgers and fries. The rooms upstairs need some improvement. It's basically a bunkhouse rather than a hotel. There's 1970s paneling that's bowed and separating from the walls, tiny beds and no decor. But walking out onto the patio in the morning and breathing the clean mountain air and the pines makes it worth the "sacrifice" of simple accommodations.

  This is a very unique restaurant, in a very unique setting, in a very unique town. Good burgers and cool atmosphere. You just have to wheel over there and check it out.

  Love this place. Gets nice and rowdy, don't have to worry about being PC. The mill has better food, but is more low key.
